Application

THHN/THWN/THWN-2 cables are widely used in conduits, cable trays and other permitted raceways for services, feeders and branch circuits across commercial, industrial and institutional installations, in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
⦁ THHN is suitable only for dry locations, with a maximum operating temperature of 90°C.
⦁ THWN / THWN-2 is suitable for both wet and dry locations, also rated for 90°C operating temperature.
Their versatility, durability and compliance with NEC requirements make them a preferred choice for modern electrical infrastructure.

Cable Construction

Conductor: Annealed plain solid or stranded soft drawn copper conductor or compact bare class B stranded AA-8000 series aluminum conductor, as per ASTM standards

Insulation: Heat and moisture resistant colored polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation, with a clear nylon (polyamide)

Technical Data

Standard: UL 83, ASTM B800, B801, B836

Voltage Grade: 600 V

Temperature Rating: +90^oC

Minimum bending radius: Up to 4 AWG – 5 x cable diameter, Up to 3/0 AWG – 7 x cable diameter, above 3/0 AWG – 8 x cable diameter

Self extinguishing and Flame Retardant according to VW-1 / FT 1

Sunlight resistant

Oil and Chemical resistant

For CT use – 1/0 AWG and above

Cabel Design Parameters

Kindly complete the part numbers for these cables by adding the suffix (in place of ‘xx’) for the colour required:
01 – green, 02 – black, 03 – red, 04 – blue, 05 – yellow, 06 – green/yellow, 07 – white, 08 – violet, 09 – brown, 10 – orange, 11 – pink, 12 – grey.
