Application

XHHW-2 cables are used for power distribution in conduit and other recognized raceways for services, feeders and branch circuits as defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC). They are suitable for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures up to 90°C and are dual-rated for 600V or 1000V applications. Sizes 1/0 AWG and above are additionally approved for cable tray installations.

Cable Construction

Conductor: Annealed plain stranded soft drawn copper/metal coated copper in compressed stranding or compact bare class B stranded AA-8000 series aluminum conductor, as per ASTM standards

Insulation: Crosslinked Polyethylene (XLPE)

Technical Data

Standard: UL 44, ASTM B3, B8

Voltage Grade: 600/1000 V

Temperature Rating: +90^oC; -40^oC (fixed) & -15^oC (flexible)

Minimum bending radius: up to 4 AWG – 5 x cable diameter, up to 3/0 AWG – 7 x cable diameter, above 3/0 AWG – 8 x cable diameter

Self extinguishing and Flame Retardant according to VW-1 / FT 1

Sunlight resistant

Moisture & Abrasion resistant

For CT use – 1/0 AWG and above

Cabel Design Parameters

Kindly complete the part numbers for these cables by adding the suffix (in place of ‘xx’) for the colour required:
01 – green, 02 – black, 03 – red, 04 – blue, 05 – yellow, 06 – green/yellow, 07 – white, 08 – violet, 09 – brown, 10 – orange, 11 – pink, 12 – grey.
